We collaborate with Prof. Sonia Contera on the fabrication and characterisation of lipid-coated, soluble, biocompatible graphitic microparticles for the development of new methods for force and torque sensing in biological systems.
We have also developed automated algorithms (Matlab) for tracking simultaneously the translational and rotational motion of ellipsoidal microparticles in solution, in order to precisely quantify their frequency of rotation.
